Have you Discovered BBC Alba TV?
This station is channel 168 on sky and is only on in the evening but it has lots of good folk on it.

It also has real ceilidhs, and allot of the top artists. It is usually in Gaelic but has sub titles (good song and music is good in any language) Most Saturday nights there are usually at least two excellent folk programs, ( often from the Blas Folk Festival).

The Folk Arts section contains information on traditional songs, singers' biographies, folk plays and historical folk events in the Wiltshire area. It contains many songs collected by Alfred Williams who also collected extensively in Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire. He also collected in that part of northern Berkshire which became part of Oxfordshire in 1974.

Fox and Hounds Sing May 2010 Date tba
Although the Fox and Hounds weekend is no longer being organised by the couple who have done it so well for past years, a gathering of singers will take place at the Fox and Hounds pub Bridestowe near Oakhampton on the usual weekend. The Landlord will be more than pleased to welcome us. The invitation is open to any who wish to come and join in and sing play or listen. A charity collection will be taken, but otherwise it is free (other than accommodation)
